As a follow up to the regular JFT Business Meeting held Jan 09, a "Committee Task Team" meeting will be held on January 23, 2021 from 8:15 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. to discuss best practices for the JFT Virtual Steering Committees going forward.
The JFT Virtual Meetings were formed in March 2020 at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The JFT Virtual Steering Committees and Virtual Service positions and their responsibilities were developed and endorsed at the September 2020 Business Meeting. These JFT Virtual Meeting Groups have continued to thrive and grow in attendance despite uncertain and rapidly changing circumstances caused by COVID-19.
As we approach the one year anniversary of JFT Virtual Meetings, at the JFT Committees Task Force Meeting, we hope to continue our group’s journey in further developing and documenting the best practices for the Virtual Steering Committees in alignment with AA’s Twelve Traditions and Group Conscience, and then make a report and/or recommendation(s) back to the JFT Secretary and the JFT Group as a whole at a future Business Meeting.
All JFT Meeting Attendees are invited to attend.
Since JFT has gone virtual
we have developed and maintain
separate and unique contact lists as follows:
1) JFT Group Member List: An Opt-In-Only list of those who consider JFT their 'home group.'
The distribution of this list is limited to a print version at the onsite meeting.
2) JFT Virtual Meeting E-Contact List: An Opt-In-Only Electronic Contact List of those who participate in the JFT Virtual Group. Distribution of this list is via email and is limited to those who request a copy from JFTContactlist@gmail.com.
3) JFT GoogleGroup: This tool is used for the sole purpose of outgoing communication of JFT Group business matters - to those who participate in either virtual or in-person meetings . This includes zoom access to virtual meetings, group business related announcements, and special events of interest to our primary purpose.
Please send Email to be added to the Google Group: JFTContactList@gmail.com
